Xmas preparations

Yes! Hurray! It's Christmas Eve!

I wrapped all christmas presents:
And together with my sister we baked some ginger-bread cookies. Also we made ginger-bread house. I thought it will be prettier but it's cute as it is, isn't it?
In the morning we are going to buy christmas tree and then we will decorate it. :D
In the evening we are going for christmas supper to grandma and then straight to Jędrzejów to eat... another christmas supper with my moms family.. I will be soo fat... :)

Daddy's Birthday

Today it's my father's 60th birthday. I made him a bithday cake - it is carrot cake with white chocolate+whipped cream+Philadelphia cottage cheese+orange zest filling. Instead of the candles, there are 60 triangles made from candied orange zest. Mmmmm.. :) Ofcourse there will be a candle - one as a symbol of this tradition. Dad didn't want to have 60 candles on his cake so I had to think up something else..

We will see if it will be as tasty as it sounds :)

Sweater felting

Today finally I tried to felt my old sweaters. I used washing mashine (70 celcius degrees) and soap for it. I think it is the easiest way to felt - you don't have to use your muscles for it. Mine aren't well formed as I am a computer science student and constantly only sit in front of the screen. Only my fingers work all the time...

Anyway: I obtained two little felt sweaters. Now I can realise ideas for striped felt :)

Yellow duckling

I got free pattern from here. It's easy to make and so cute :) I try to make a few of my friends to have children in no time, because then my soft toys would be useful for them :P

Santa's surprise

I know I'm late with this post (in Poland we celebrate Santa's day on 6 of December; on Christmas day somebody else - who, it depends on a region - brings the presents:) ) , but I wanted to share with you: I got this book
I love it!!! It's full of ideas for new crafting :D:D:D for example felting, bijou making, ceramics painting.. I especially would like to try cyanotopia and silk colouring. I want to have more time for my crafting stuff!!!!

Prah

I had long break in blogging, but now I'm back. :)

23.11.2007 we (me, Mateusz, Ania and Łukasz) were in Prah, the capital of Czech Republic.
We went there to visit our friends - Ania and Rafał, who are studying there as Socrates/Erasmus students.

Rafał (during Ania's classes) showed us this beautiful city, with lots of historical buildings, traditional Czech pubs, caffees and full of japanese turists. Like in Cracow :) We also visited The Hrad (castle), with the Golden Lane, st. George's Basilica and The Cathedral of st. Vit.

Furthermore we took a walk during night time, to sightsee The Charles's Bridge and the rest of old town monuments with the city hall and its historical clock.

We tasted some Absynth, herbal 60% of alcohol vodka and ofcourse national Czech meals with rivers of beer.

Mateusz and Łukasz loved the word which in czech means "potato". The word is "brambor". They had lots of laugh about it, because of very funny reading :)

We had been there almost for 3 days, and on Sunday, when we had to go back home, we didn't want to get on the train.

Decision

Hello, today I decided to change the language of my blog. So from now, all posts will be written in english.
I will appreciate all remarks about correctness of my writing english. So if you find any mistakes, write a comment - i will try to improove my language skills. :)
